Craig and I skied to an undisclosed location Friday evening where we drank liquor and supped on Thai take-out. The next morning we skied over Nordic Pass and then up to the northwest ridge of Silver Peak. The lee slopes of the ridge were well-scored with snowmobile tracks. Snow was variable with corn here and there but the steep slopes of the ridge were deep mush. We followed a highmarker's track to the ridgecrest. Despite our best efforts (stomping on a small cornice, ski cuts) we couldn't get anything to slide. Skied off about 1 p.m., back at the car at 3. Lots of snow still.
