My self and two out of town friends Gene and Peter looking for some quick" bang for the buck " dropped in at Glacier Vista.
West facing skied very nicely ,I thought the morraine directly below would too but being lower in elevation quickly turned to mush. That transition turn is hell ! Some body please put up a warning sign.
The main body of the lower glacier still filled in nicely. just the same we skied over somebodys tracks from the day before.
Any way we watched 3 skiers descend Nisqually chutes in fine form with apparently no slush slides. We got a few hissers going lower down by the snout. We chose the skiers left side(east) of the snout and river for exit because of rock fall Skied all the way to the bridge. Still possibile for a while ,watch for rocks even on east side. Hadn't even set my skis down when I was offered a ride up by no less than Paul Baugher going up for a class. Actually they stopped to inquire about conditions for a possible ski down.
