- glad to see some Blu-birds up your way. down here in the Sierra we had  weather systems "undercutting your high pressure ridge". and they had a
"subtropical tap", which means high snow levels, and high snow amounts !

    Sat morn. at 9,000 ft. there was 1 ft. of new with 1.5 ft. at 10,000 ft.
not bad for May! I always like to do a pole penetration - to see the layers down below the new, or within the new.  and it's fun to take your hand to check the density. this snowfall compacted down ultra solid. it was pretty incredible stuff, as you could apply a fair amount of pressure to it.

    The weather was not condusive for BC. so I'm thinking this snow is going to corn up pretty easily due to its high water content.  temps. are going to be about 5 - 7 degrees above normal this week, after the last system, so it could get pretty sweet. * one little side note, the ski area is so big that with a limited spring operation, it is real easy to get corn freshies "on the side" !
