Hi Adventurers,

As promised, a slide show on Derek and mine 51 mile, 4 day, 11,000 ft elevation gain expedition circumountaineering Mt Adams.  Actual route attached (yellow path) in pdf.

Lessons learned-wisdom gained:

[li]Weather is unpredictable in mountains-what was fair conditions at 6000 ft can be harsh at 8000 ft
Always plan a low route around (not just an escape route) in case of inclement weather
"Spot" is a good tracking device and informs people of whereabouts
Keep to the waypoints, read the map carefully, and don't let the ridges lead you astray
Mt. Adams is beautiful in the winter as well as summer!
Down is not a good choice of sleeping bags in winter.
Circumountaineering (newly coined word) aptly describes this adventure.[/li]

Enjoy the show of 143 slides, 3 songs, and 10 minutes of your time.

Right on! Way to go and put in the effort. I'm super excited you got out to do this.
