Rob was keen to find some north facing powder on our return to Tromso from Lyngen. Our first objective seemed like a long flat run to get to the vertical when we saw it, so we headed toward what we thought would be better skiing if not a summit. We saw our first public hut, very comfortable and clean, but sadly found crust and hoar on north aspects. There were some good turns, but all in all a bit disturbing snow, reminiscent of the Rockies perhaps.
