- the corn is bountiful, and sweet here. the last system only dropped a couple inches. so that's on top & with some cooler temps. - yield a good freeze. the snowpack is close to avg. this year so the choices are pretty much endless. the aspects + or - North still have winter snow, however, as we have not had a significant warm-up yet.
I've been catchin' some easy road-side skinnin' yielding 50 turns a lap - gotta love it, as most skiers down here start rockclimbing !

Thanks for the conditions update!
Any idea of conditions/coverage in the Bishop/Whitney area? The ESAC says a major wind event kinda screwed things up down there, but I wonder how often they update there reports.

DanH - a couple recent TRs make the coverage seem pretty decent:

Sawtooth & Dana Plateau areas:

You could also try sending an email to Wilson's in Bishop or Mammoth Gear in Mammoth. They'll have the scoop.
Some coverage was probably lost in that wind event, but I bet the surface conditions will heal fast. Plus, most of the exposed areas get wind hammered off and on in the Sierra anyways. There will still be lots to ski through April, including some steepish stuff if you're looking for that. That's my guess for what its worth.
Be sure to hit the hot springs too.

- you can check the snow totals at CDEC, go to April's #'s.
Northerly aspects have winter snow above 9,500 ft. The winter snow typically sticks around through May. Other slopes are the place to be !
Tioga Rd. opens about the wk. after fishing opener (last wk. of April)
This is only open from 395, to 11 miles west (everybody does the Dana Couloir, but the East aspects are on the opposite side of the road ) !
