Thank you Tobae, Monika, Ryan, and Matt for a good recon trip to Stevens Pass. Lots of terrain to tour and explore in. Some good lines to be had too. Above 4500, N facing, shaded yielded best snow. Little instability other than some locally wind loaded areas, sluffs and shallow soft slabs in pm on sun affected slopes.
Cool Oyvind, I always wondered how that burn area skied and haven't made the effort to get there. Thanks for the info. We pondered an exploration of that area in a loop trip across the divide but settled on Arrowhead instead. Now I see it has more than enough potential to make the trek.
