Three of us headed up the Bessemer Road yesterday to attempt Moolock, two on AT gear and one tele. The middle fork road is passable to the CCC tralhead but slushy and very potholed. A couple inches of wet snow at start but we were able to ski from start in heavy rain. It changed to snow around 2500'. At top there were a 4" of good snow on a hard base. Some pinwheels but no large releases. Steep slopes were beginning to look unstable so we went up East Ridge to about 4500' . Some wind slab was present. Great ride down to about 2500' where somebody had postholed up our skin track.
