Steven Hatcher (telemarktips poster and world travelling friend) arrived at Wolfi's around 230AM, having departed Geneva after work Thursday. He rallied on few hours sleep and we were off at 9 for a return to the same area as Mar 12. This time we were across the valley, and unfortunately the freezing level had risen to our starting point at 1300m. There had been about a meter of snowfall in the past three days and this day was classic cascade concrete. Peter did some awesome trailbreaking, good exercise he said for his bike racing condition. We turned around at 2100m near timberline when we experienced a whumpf and saw that slopes were steeper ahead of us.
The 'ski' down was almost as difficult as the climb, very heavy and deep. The food, however, at Weer restaurant made us happy. Take a look at the classic bindings in picture number 3!
