Adams South Spur was created by Baltoro
Thinking of heading up that way next week. Anyone have any insight into conditions of the road, drivability, etc.?

I'm sure there's some fabulous site I'll stumble upon in my searching but if you know it already I'd be keen to check it out.

Thanks.

Oh and I've check out Amar's page for sure.

You are going to need a snow-machine or be willing to ski many miles of snow machine packed logging roads.

The normal approach roads are not plowed much past Trout Lake.

Here is information on the sno-parks www.parks.wa.gov/winter/ -- You'll want the South Cascades section.

I think your best best is to contact the Mt Adams ranger district

Mt. Adams
Ranger District
2455 Hwy 141
Trout Lake, WA 98650
(509) 395-3400
TTY: (360) 891-5003

And talk to a ranger -- as there have also been a number of road washouts from the Jan 6th Rain Event.

That sounds awful.

That's what we figured, and what I thought we'd hear from the rangers but it's nice to hear it from skiiers whose idea of skinning distance is different than non-skiers.

We'll head for better plowed grounds. Thanks Randy.
