Went up Radio peak since I had only a short time.  Dug a pit and found stable conditions on SE / E slopes.  No crust from Friday sun and well bonded to the layer about 2.5 ft down.  Got a CT15 over most likely where yesterday's snow fell about 8" down (this was in the trees so maybe not the 11" reported).

Took 3 laps in nicely spaced trees although gaining speed was difficult in the very deep powder and headed home.  Spoke with patrol at Grand Junction and they said they evaluated Rockwell face and decided not to perform control as if to back up my findings.

Digging a pit was up to my waist!

No pics - sorry.
Since I know you are game, I'm doing a quickie dawn patrol tomorrow morning since I went sledding w my daughter today instead of skiing -- need to be in Seattle at 9:15 so I think we might ski the Phantom, or if there is a decent re-fresh tonight Alpy is always closed Mondays so that might be even better.
