We set of first for Hontoon Point and skied an east facing slope down towards Swift Creek and found mostly dense powder with spots of suncrust...and less people. Most south facing aspects were crust. I wouldn't suggest picking a destination to ski that is predominantly south facing. The Mt. Anne area looked really nice, a track or two and a small skin track leading up, but mostly untouched.

We skinned out of up swift creek and headed towards the Blueberry Chutes for some longer softer runs. While being pretty tracked it was still nice...had to scrouge for pow a little but still good. We intended to make it out to Mazama Bowl as well but ended up with yo'yo's on the chutes.

Seems like everything within shorter distance from heather meadows or chair 8 has seen lots of action....untracked lines will be hard to find unless you want to cruise out a litte farther.

The couloir on the westish side of the arm looks sweet too BTW....

This one? Does it have a name?

Thats the one! Not sure what it's called....

It's called "Tim's Secret Stash".

It is riddled with rocks, wires, sharks and an errant hippopotumus.  Highy recmomend to avoid this nasty bit of terrain!!

Whew, thanks for the info.....coulda been a disaster...

Ill hit up some green circles on 2 instead.

Wow. Sounded dangerous up until the hippopotamus. That I've got to see. ;). (Truth be told, there are plenty of other stashes to keep me busy.)

That puppy had two sets of tracks in it from Thursday on early Friday morning.  But the four tracks coming down the super sketch off angle sort-of-a-couloir-sort-of-a-mixed-climb-route just to the north of that were really impressive.

It was a great day out skiing with RafMax and our group. Before descending into the Swift Creek Valley, two of us skied a bit further southeast  and  happily found a few pitches of light untracked powder.

We also encountered some crusty conditions on both east and south facing slopes in that area as well.

A pit we dug on a lower angle slope fractured at CT 11 and failed completely at CT30. Crystals were both faceted and subangular.
