Skinned up to Anvil rock in beautiful warm sunny conditions....until early afternoon instability in the atmos turned it into an off and on again whiteout.  Breakable crust 10-18 inches of powder underneath... great skiing untill 6800'.  Mazama's West face was great...shoulda stayed there all day.  Strangely West facing slopes held much better pow...and east, south-east facing slopes got cooked.  even southern exposed was better than more easterly exposed.

Woulda been AWESOME if not for lack of visibility.

Bomber snowpack.  Very small sun inspired surface sloughing on 40 degree slopes.
I like that middle picture - Winter Desert.  Funny how the posder moves around.  Maybe West is the new North down there.

Was up there too skiing Mazama, west faces were good, as were any leeward north-ish facing slopes. Great day, but it's time for another cycle.
