2/14/09 Valentines Day Chair Peak circumnav

Andy, Brad, Bryan and Ted joined Anita and me for the classic Chair Peak circumnavigation, Valentines Day style.  Relaxed 10:15AM start.  Booted two of the steep sections up to Bryant Col.  Ski down from col was variable old pow, wind crust and mank over crust  Overcast most of the day, but the sun peeked through the clouds for a few minutes during skin to Melakwa Pass, some on boilerplate.  A few light snow flurries.  Ceiling lowered on ski down to CP Lake and Snow Lake.  Variable conditions on descent from Melakwa Pass to Snow Lake.   Skinned across Snow Lake, humped up to divide and skied out.  Returned to cars a few minutes after 5PM.  Some slow conditions.  Some eerie light.  Lovely day.

Anita and I enjoyed a nice Valentines Day dinner at Mama Vallone's in Cle Elum.  Thanks from us to A B B & T for a nice day.
