You can get within 1.5 miles of the TH (SErly, upper TH) but that is the crux, as there is no snow on this mountain. Thanks for driving Ty - the AWD AstroVan rules.
We got to the summit, and views stretched from St. Helen's to BC Coast Range, but there was NO SNOW to be had. Well, except a more Northerly facing bowl that looked frozen and would have been a slide for life. And it would take you down the wrong side of the mountain.
Townsend will need a lot of snow to be skiable in the spring as there was nothing on it. Well, patchy at best but unskiable. ???
