Howdy Folks,
I toured west of timberline stating at 7:45am friday. Calm winds, and low 20's, bluebird. Heavy wind crust in exposed areas, which made for fast touring to the canyon. In wind sheltered areas about 14" new over unfrozen rain layer, with some wind heavyness. Good bond, and hand pits, and ski cuts yielded no instability. I skied north and west aspects, on 30 to 35 degree pitch at 5900 ft. Good tree skiing, and the weather could not be beat.

Looks great! What's the route? Did you go up from Gov't Camp and across to Sand Canyon? Thanks for the post.
