Well I would not believe it unless I saw it happen with my own eyes. I was outside on my street digging out a culvert from flooding when I looked up to take a break. It slid, the entire slope taking out the lifts and one house. Hyak is gone, it slid down to the ground from near the top almost to the condos
That's pretty cool that you were there to see it.

Wow that is insane,looks more like a late spring avalanche cycle!
What!? Two high speed quads????? I hope they abandon the area and leave it so that I can ski untracked slush with my dog! The lower lift is still there, so you can still access some XC stuff. The rest you can get to from Acres. Hyak is awesome because it is closed some of the time.
