Late start up through the area, chatted with avi patrol who said they were opening southback by noon, making our choice of terrain more comfortable. It's always an interesting challenge to find safe skiing when the forecasts are attention grabbing. We found stable conditions on S and SW facing slopes, boot top powder on solid base. The weather kept trying to clear, but never quite did, although we had one view of Mt. Rainier summit.
