Lots of light, fluffy snow. Breaking trail wasn't too bad, though there were lots of tracks set already. Coverage was the most notable issue - there's enough to keep you off the rocks, but not enough to smooth out the big talus blocks on the back side. It was skiable and fun, but you had to pay attention to the holes and tree wells.

Some places like Moonlight Bowl and the higher glades looked very nice, though we never made it over there. There were lots of folks, so I'm sure someone had a look. Those spots probably had some lurking slabs, and maybe some wind affected snow, though they looked enticing.

It was also DAMN COLD. I can't recall the last time I was able to ascend in bibs over my touring pants, plus 4 layers on top. Telemetry showed pass temps at -4F, plus a good breeze. We had some fingers and toes that got a little too cold at times, but the exercise and thermoses of cocoa (one with a hint of chai?) kept us in good spirits.
