Climbed up Lower I and skied down Felsen - there were about 3,589,267 people there yesterday.
We dug a pit on Lower I, beneath the stand of trees in the middle towards the top and did an impromptu semi-Rorschblock test there. What we found was that the top 18" were unconsolidated and fluffed away when jumped on. The bottom 30" had set up nicely and we couldn't get the snow to move on that level, even when jumped on. Not sure what this most recent system will do to the snowpack, especially with freezing rain, but I thought I'd share the info.
