Hello up there, the main reason I'm givin' a brief ski note is that you guys are under a "blizzard warning" ! I just love the sound of that. Down here in the Sierra, we recieved a couple ft., to 4 ft. (Mammoth - 'snow catcher'), just in time for the holidays ! I did catch some 'side country' as Backcountry mag. calls it. I know I'm not supposed to enter ski area related reports. Our BC is still a bit thin.
One last note - check out Utah Avalanche Center, go to site map, and down to accident. There's a good account of what you shouldn't do when accessing 'side country'. Happy Turns
