Surf's up! The cover is just getting better and better, covering more and more of the little christmas trees and logs and stuff. We found great turning in all areas from 2700 to 5700. From 2700 to about 4K we could feel a bit of a crust underneath about 8" (a little less under mature forest where snow was hanging in the trees)(mentioned by Silas as well) but we could still turn at will in these areas. Up higher, most turns revealed no apparent bottom, with very light fluff in the topmost later. No evidence of slabs on our S through W aspects - the only snow movement was the surface sluffing that would follow us down steeper terrain.
We did stay off the W slopes at the ridge crest, as we could see the snow plume heading over that way before the winds shifted from E to W late yesterday - so we didn't do any tests but it looked like it might be building some slabs high on the W side.
