I don't know if this is a trip report or a random track, but, on a trip today from Price Creek Eastbound Sno-Park to Stampede Pass, three of us were about across the Keechelus Lake Dam when a BLM employee, Mike Davis, pulled up on a snowmobile, and politely informed us we were not allowed to be on the dam. We were polite back. It's posted. We weren't looking at signs on this traditional x-c ski route.  He let us continue across but told us that during Orange Alerts it is patrolled daily by BLM or the  FS or the sheriff as an anti-terrorism action.  I guess this is in case someone wants to blow up a dam whose water level is well below the bottom of the dam. Be better if they blew up the stumps to improve the view.  In any case, the Price Creek Eastbound Sno-Park is now pretty damn useless.

Any idea who to ask about this?

The snow was light and fluffy, several inches of fresh on the ground, and falling about an inch an hour starting at 2 PM.
