Maybe 5 big turns in the sun before the descent into darkness. The snow was wonderful and the sun brilliant for those first turns though so it was all worth it. The rest of the ski down wasn't bad - a little wind crust on the one inch of new snow that was over a very firm base. We are looking forward to a little more snow from Pebble Creek to Paradise.

Very nice. I like the shot of muir's ramparts. I almost was there but was dissuaded by the weather. Winter is coming.

They looked like ramparts to me too - thanks for the comments. It is always great to be on skiing but the visibility was dismal. Steve

My wife and I are eating lunch in the first photo. Sadly, her mitts wetted out and we headed down after only going a couple hundred feet higher, so no sun was seen. Needless to say, there will be a handwear upgrade before she tries again.
