I met up with narnar85 and guynoir at 730am.. always interesting meeting and skiing with complete strangers.. but like usual they are great guys and the day was so so good. Several inches of snow at the trailhead and it only got deeper as we climbed.. skinned up to the prominent rock at about 7k? along the ridge.. to the climbers right of the start of the CD route.. the same ridge that was referenced to in earlier reports of super icy conditions.. no ice today.. at least two feet of blower pow on top and all the way down.. definately not very stable but skiable with some precaution.. total whiteout most of the day and quite nasty up higher.. all in all an awesome start to the seaon.. ive skied heliotrope all summer long and have been waiting for today..  anyway its only getting deeper.. go get it.. Randy and Jim, it was great to meet and ski with you guys, hopefully we'll do it again.. soon
Sounds mega better than last week - how far down were you able to ski?

The pinnacle at the far right we measured at almost exactly 7k, and there was exactly 1k of permanent snow/ice.

skied within a minute or two of where the climbers and hikers trails intersect.. a little rocky
