We climbed Mt. Baker this weekend. We saw lots of folks skiing up there. I agree with the other post that another 20 inches up at Baker would open things up a lot. We saw a party of four skiers skiing over a giant snowbridge. (I didn't catch any of your names but I'd be happy to send you some photos.) I also took a short video. Check it out:

Thanks! I think that may just be my YouTube debut.

That snowbridge looks like it is not long for this world. Once it goes, the route will get a bit more complicated. Climbers will have to go over the short ice wall over to the right and it wont really be skiable without a bit of air.

I dont know if you saw, but it cleared out nicely just as we began our descent of the Roman Wall. Best turns on the hill, really nice corn. The fog lower down I could have done without, but even the crevassed lower section was fun skiing. I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

What time did you guys end up getting down? I watched you coming down the toe of the glacier as we were packing up, saw one of you commit to a pretty wild crevasse jump. Nice work!

Hi Jerm-

Ya it took us a good while to get back to our tent. We got there around 7pm. It took a little longer than we planned. Made it to the car just after 9pm. That snow bridge was pretty crazy. I took some nice photos of you guys at the top of the snow bridge as well. (see flickr link below) I was wishing that I had my split-board for the lower section. That looked really fun.

Cheers- Nice debut on YouTube!
