Edge of Paradise, Aug 31, 2008

Just a little ski for month 119.  Two inches of new snow, snowing at Paradise all the way to Pebble Creek.  Victor the Inflictor, Lightweight Dave and I skittered left and skinned up towards Anvil in minimal visibility. Amazing that there were big crevasses that extended to within 10' of the rock, the edge indeed! Skiing was fun, sticky starts, followed by easy, soft turns exposing multicolored red brown gray black tracks.  Visibility made exploration sketchy, so we returned to Pebble for the walk down.  It sure felt like fall and got our blood moving for the coming season!
