8-10-08 Mt. Bachelor and Middle Sister previous weekend

Two weekend ago I hiked up to the saddle between Middle and N. Sister (with Mrs. and Mr. "keep 'em turning aka 'lungs on legs'...) and had a fun ski down the Hayden Glacier.  A few slots and a bumpy fairly hard surface made for some 'interesting' turns; lots of ice numbins work through too.    This last weekend I decided to burns of some fat by hiking up Mt. Bachelor.  Took skis "just in case".  Glade I did as I found continuous snow from below the Summit Chair top terminal to about 100' above the top of Rainbow chair (so got most of the upper mt...).  Small suncups and not a dense conditions as the Hayden Gl.  provided some pretty darn good skiing!!
