Arrived Heather Meadows at 10, waited for rain to stop while reading by the fire at the lodge.  At 3pm we headed out and skied the lower 550' of a melted out gully below Table a couple times on bumpy D cups. Weather still trying to clear as we drove home.  Forecast is great for the next three days (and more?)

We drove up to Artist Point lot, still has snow. We could see a couple hundred feet in the fog.
What a day.  It's not often you spend an August afternoon sitting in front of a fire.  Met a TAY lurker (hi) and sat around telling war stories.  Eventually gave up and went skiing despite the rain, leaving Silas behind (he was afraid he might get wet).  We returned, telling stories of marginal snow quality and numerous rocks, just five minutes from the car.  This inspired him to jump up and ski the chute twice.

Saw bits of blue in the sky on the drive home....
