Started out from Paradise Thursday morning after stashing a few beers in what's left of the snow around the parking lot.  Skinned up on frozen snow to Pan Point.  The snow softened and got gradually bumpier.  By the time i got to Camp Muir the snow was very rough.  On the ski down the top 500 feet was like a really tricky, random mogal run.  Not pretty turns through here!  Below that it smoothed out and was very nice skiing.  I wanted to miss the several bare areas on the way up so i dropped into the Nisqually drainage well above Pan point.  (see pic.)  This was very nice skiing.

The Muir snowfield skiing is pretty much over.  Some great looking tracks were coming down the Wilson glacier but cravasses are opening and you will want to have a partner there.

A beautiful day on the mountain and ice cold beers at the car!  Good life.
