Brenda and I spent the weekend touring around the Table Mtn-Coleman Pinnacle area. Sat we arrived kind of late to a completely plowed, but gated, road up to Artist Pt. Decided to try something different and decided take the Herman Saddle route out to Ptarmigan Ridge. Nice skinning up to the saddle then a really nice decent down a chute that dropped to Iceberg Lake. The chute was not too bumpy and soft enough for our tastes very fun. Traversed across, basically following the summer trail, then skied down another chute just before the trail climbs up to the Table Mtn traverse/Ptarmagin Ridge saddle. Again, nice snow, but a bit rougher than the other chute. We climbed out to the saddle then continued on the Table Mtn traverse to Artist Pt. The plowed road has things really screwed up on that side of the basin, unless youre skiing the steeper chutes off Artist Pt no thanks, too bumpy.
Spent the night in Glacier and returned a bit earlier Sunday. Kind of a repeat of the previous day, but with the added leg out to Coleman Pinnacle. Made it to the ridge just on the far side of the Pinnacle before heading back. Theres still a lot of snow out there, and much of it fairly smooth. At Artist Pt we went ahead and just walked the road. I think with a little more time it would have been easier just to return on the Herman Saddle route.

I thought that might have been you and Brenda we skied past on Sunday. You were on the traverse out as we skied off the east ridge. I didn't spot you guys until we were pretty far below you. Sounds like you had a good weekend.
yup, that was us creeping across the side of that bowl, as the two of you came bombing down that little steep chute that I think is a waterfall after things melt out.
