Month 58 in a row, and what a great way to spend the 4th of July!!!

Saddlebag Lake is just outside Yosemite Park on the North-Eastern side of the Sierra, BTW.

Skier11053, me, Divegirl, and Legoskier all geared up and ready to head out at the end of the boat ride...

Camp was only about a mile beyond the boat ride (thankfully... 70 pounds of gear can get HEAVY).  That's North Peak in the distance...

Nice view of Flinty's, GPS Chute and the Conness Glacier area on the way to camp...

We dumped the camp gear and headed up for one late afternoon run down Kook Chutes, which requires a bit of boulder hopping...

and crack climbing...

Divegirl making her way up with Steelhead Lake in the background...

We're about to lose our sunlight behind North Peak...

An exhilarating climb...

And finally to the top of the Chute...

Divegirl and Legoskier head down first..

Legoskier jumping the suncups at the bottom (although the chute was cupless!)

You could fall into the cups that were at the bottom of the run!

After a beautiful star-filled night (with our own "shooting star" fireworks display), we awoke to another great day!  Can't beat this view from your front window!

And did I mention breakfast???

Hiking to our Saturday playground in the Greenstone Bowl...

Divegirl having fun...

Legoskier...

and Mark...

We hit the famous Whoo Nellie Deli for dinner on the way back and caught up with the Mammoth Forum Crew.    Another great time in the mountains!

Skier 11,053 would be Dave Mc Coy -- just tryin' to figure that one out. Thanks a lot, Robert (from Reno). Hope you got some good turns. Did you see Dana at the end of May, that was some weather that repeated itself from May, '57 ! NWS, Reno Office

Great tr, nice pics!
