Scott Otterson and I left White River Campground around 11:30 am and arrived in leisurely fashion at Camp Curtis around 4 pm. You can start skinning about a quarter mile past Glacier Basin.
The Interglacier is in good shape, some crevasses were open and there were some depressions here and there that will probably open soon. We had overcast and light drizzle up to Camp Curtis. We stopped there as the drizzle was threatening to turn to rain.
The trail to Glacier Basin got hammered in the floods but an alternate route is well marked and well trod. It stays along the river, no additional up and down. I only had to step over two logs, was able to hike it in Tevas. I'm tall and wear my skis high on my pack but still didn't have to duck much, in other words, the trail washout won't add any time or difficulty to your day.
