It's amazing at the end of June that we are still able to get very reasonable return on our effort (climbed 1600ft and got 1300ft of snowboard descent) at Alpental. I hiked up underneath Sessel. Just above the top of Sessel chair, I was able to skin up to the base of Lower Nash...then booted up to a little over 4,900 ft. Great booting snow - no postholing. Able to snowboard down to just below the top of Sessel chair. Snow is starting to suncup but still very manageable! If you needed a quick trip by the EOM to keep a streak going like I did - it still will probably go tomorrow.
