Parked on sunrise mine road once the snow started to intermittently cover the roadway.. could have blasted through and shorten the walk. I advise a high clearance vehicle and a couple of pushers just in case and go until you get to a spot that you know you can't cross..
The trail had a somewhat bridge over the first creek, which wasn't bad.. the scened creek crossing is kind of sketchy, but there is a nice spot of avi debris to climb across.
Watch out for the sucker chute just before the main chute heading up to headlee... And then make sure you don't pass the trail when riding back down. Although you can only go another couple hundred feet.
Kind of a slog in, but the views and conditions where worth it. Snow starts about 3000 feet or so and is then continuous to the Peak. The snow up to the pass wasn't great, but not bad either(not sure how much longer it will last). The runs down from Vesper to the Lake are perfect right now.
