Left Mill Creek at 4am, got sverdina, then got packed up and on trail 7am or so. So much for the "Partly sunny morning" that was forecasted.
Met dKoelle at the parking lot who mentioned he was heading for the Paradise Glacier. It had been a few years since I had been to Muir, and I have been trying to ski the chutes for almost 3-4 years. Always got turned back by weather or avy hazards.
Got to Muir in 3.5 hours, not bad for an out of shape, almost 40 year old father of 2 toddlers. Sverdina only had to wait 30 minutes. We kicked it in the public shelter with the NPS rangers.
