Anita and I hooked up with our friend Shawn and Sam from Vermont (via TGR) for the Birthday Tour on Fathers Day.  Typically firm conditions up to Blue Lake Peak col in clear skies.  Nice skiing down Madison Ave.  We passed a group of roped-up Outward Bounders en route to Billy Goat Notch.  Ample snow coverage, with a few thinning spots on the exit.  Nice day.

Brenda and I stopped below the col - a bit sporty for our tastes, maybe next time. We had a nice intro to the area, this being our first ski tour in the Washington Pass area. Had some decent skiing in the bowl above Blue Lake the day before. Another beautiful weekend.

Here's a shot of your crew climbing to the col.

The col looks worse than it goes, md2020.  Nice deep boot track helps.  It's worth the grunt.

Nice pic.  My butt doesn't look so big from that distance.
