The upper 3/4 was silky-smooth; below the elevation of the moraine things were a bit ragged due to incipient sun cups, but still fun, skiing all the way to lake elevation. We had a leisurely 8 am start from the trailhead to give the sun time to soften the upper slopes (some areas are in the shade until early afternoon). I would guess the skiing should be of good quality for another 10 days or so. Only patches of snow remain around the lake.
