excellent corn on west facing slopes below Kendall ridge. We (old chickens?) used ski crampons above 4500' in the shade on our first time up before 10am. No suncups yet, finally perfect crunchy corn! Today skied out to the car, may not be possible tomorrow. Pics later.
I wouldn't have thought you could ski to the car at Kendall after looking at Summit West on Thursday. Good to know there's still good snow there; maybe I'll get another chance to hit I-90 before it's all gone. Let me know if you want someone to tag along and justify you taking a slow pace.
I actually wanted to ski Kendall on Friday but it looked so melted out I steered clear. Glad to see you getting after it!
Silas, you've been skiing Kendall West an awful lot this season and there are very few photos. I finally figured it out - you brought our old snowcat down from Tim's place and have it hidden in the trees at Kendall. You old dog. Tell me it's not so. Give me a sign. Stealth skier/snowcat rider!
