Two of us did the BD tour today, two climbers somewhere on the spires, but for skiing, we had the whole place to ourselves. Just a trace of snow at the Blue lake parking lot, and maybe 1 inch at the pass into Copper Cr. the skiing in Copper Cr. would have been great, but the fog was thick and the light was flat. About all I can say is we survived, really did not see a thing until we made the pass into Early Winters Cr. the snow in Copper Cr. was 2/3 inches, and not all that bad, if not for the lighting. The decent to the highway made the whole trip, about 2/3 inches of butter and it was great. By the time we made the highway, the snow at that elevation was glop. Looked like someone had made a few turns in spire chute. Aside for the bum light in Copper Cr. it was a great day. The snow is going fast, even with this new June snow there are patches of bare ground in the lower reaches of the Blue lake Basin.
