After our one-day-ski-ascent of Mt. St. Helen's with 6000 ft. uphill the day before, this day we climbed Mt. Adams.

We started our tour at 2 a.m. at an elevation of 2100 ft., where we had to park the car. Too much snow on the road. We had a very long day and 8.5 miles ahead of us. After 4 - 5 hours walking/skinning we were still in the forest, when finally the thing got a little steeper. An hour later we were on timberline. Nice! The summit was right in front of us, but still a long way to go. The heat and the reflected sunlight already started to interact with us.
There was the south (false) summit, which was a very nice and moderately steep ascent in perfect snow condition. We met a guy, who was coming down from not very far ahead from us. This was the only human interaction for a whole day on snow. Finally, after the south summit we continued and reached the summit of Mt. Adams after 12 hours and > 10000 ft. of uphill. NICE!!!

The way back wasn't short either. It took us 4 hours of skiing with good (a little wet already) snow conditions to reach our car. So, that makes 16 hours in one day.
Missed this way back when. Strong work/lucky you! :).
