Started at meadows too late, (~9:30) and made good time up the Wy'east face, not good enough though... continued to the summit via Wy'east route. I was planning on skiing fall line from the summit down the Newton Clark, rappelling a cliff band on the way. Snow quickly changed quality after snack on summit, clouds, loss of direct sun... also the snow would not hold a picket for rapping safely... downclimbed back the spicy section of Wy'east route, and discovered a thick 2-3 inch breakable crust over wet. I grudgingly downclimbed the Newton Clark Headwall until the crust became manageable for skiing. I cuda-wuda shredded it if it was soft/hard, but the -(worst case senario crust)- and cliffs below and the ~50dg pitch made it too risky for me as it was in its crusty condition. I definitely want to come back to this one - and leave a little earlier this time!

Smart to wait till the conditions are "right"!
