Spent Friday bumbling around in the fog and thick clouds on Mt. Pilchuck.  After a long time we finally made the summit, and we were psyched to find ourselves above the cloud layer.  Not too long after, all of the clouds cleared out to yield blue skies and sun.  The snow was decent, although it was a bit wet.  About 2" wet snow on top of a firm base.  We skied Gunsight, which offered decent snow.  There were a few rocks scattered around in the snow on Gunsight.  The snow down low was wet and pretty grabby, but still decent skiing.

thanks for the report.  is the mt pilchuck road open all the way up?

Should have mentioned this in the TR.  The gate is open, and you can drive about 3.5 miles up the road before you hit an impassable patch of snow.  The road is then bare for a while after this patch of snow, but there are quite a few downed trees.  Finally the last 2.5 miles or so to the TH are all snow covered and skinnable.
