backTurns All Year year-round skiing

Year-round skier:  Kim Teot

How I got started skiing year-round:  I was inspired in 1992 to ski 60 months, b/c our friend had completed this much. Passed 60 months with my husband. He said keep going until 10 years, past that mark and have now skied 179 months continuous.
Criteria for what counts as a ski trip:  I must make 20 turns. In the summer months this has been a challenge and sometimes I have to climb a patch multiple times to achieve this, as I am not a steep skier (you get old, lots of fear kicks in).
Biggest threat to my streak:  Body parts keep rebelling with age.
Type of equipment I use:  Winter months, twin tips. Summer months 5 year old rock skis.
Strategy for skiing through the low season:  I only have to hike for my July thru September days, so I just have traditions. Like the Erwin Rommel Desert Ski Classic in August. Yes, I ski Sand Dunes, but am using alpine equipment and I really have to hike for these turns.
Worst and best backcountry ski trips:  Best: Heli skiing in BC - sell your first born and go.
Skiing activities in the past year:  I ski about 65 days per year.
