This Mt. Rainier panorama, a view from near Panorama Point on the south side which includes low snow cover on the Muir snowfield, was created by putting together several individual images from a digital camera, then balancing the images for contrast and exposure before stitching the overlapping edges to produce a seamless photo. Very wide panoramas are displayed as more than one image file to permit viewing of the entire panorama with various browsers and computer operating systems.
